We experience many things everydaywithout really recognizing them.
Sometimes we are lost in thought as we perform mundane activities. It is easy to run through our days without really paying attention. This can lead to default thoughts which are often negative, I.e. worry, fear, sadness, etc.
However, through mindfulness there is an opportunity for awareness and little miracles with every moment and movement. Living a fulfilled life can be as simple as changing your habitual thoughts to having thoughts on purpose.
This week, as you go about your daily routines, remind yourslef of the little miracles of everyday life.
Start with the simple stuff, here’s a few ideas:
When doing the dishes, be thankful for the food that nourished your body and clean running water
When you have to park far from your destination, be thankful for the legs that take you places.
When waiting in a long line, be thankful for contemplative time and think about the many miracles in your life.
