"My favorite day." said Pooh.
It's easy to fall into get things done mode (especially on a Monday morning) but a little time spent on the things that energize us, make our lives richer, and move us closer to the calling of our hearts is time worth taking.
Adopt one or all 3 of the following tips into your daily routine
and make everyday your favorite day.
1. Get One Important thing Done
We all have a lot on our daily "to do" list but how many of those things are really important, meaning, will have a big impact on your personal or professional life in the long run? When we take even the smallest step towards a big impact goal we feel a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Those kind of steps forward make for an excellent day!
2. Get Outside
Sitting behind a computer all day or inside a house can lead to feeling out of touch with life. Taking even 5 minutes every few hours to step outside and commune with the world can give us the energy boost we need. Not only that, but a little fresh air can calm our minds and give us a moment of presence that could lead to more creativity and inspiration.
3. Spend Time with a Loved One
This might sound like a no brainer but time spent with a loved one, when you are 100% present and engaged, can be a game changer for both parties. Even 5 minutes of your complete presence can lead to a deeper connection instantly. Kiss your partner like it was the first time. Hug someone a little longer. Ask questions. Listen deeper. Speak a word or two of appreciation. Just a couple moments bonding, laughing, or expressing can make a huge difference in your day.
