Mindful Monday- New Year's Re-SOUL-utions That Matter

New Year's resolutions are alluring because we like the idea of having a clean slate and bettering ourselves. The truth is, every single moment is a clean slate and a "better" you is simply a more authentic you in each moment.
 
Here are 3 ReSOULutions that might help make 2020 your best year yet.
 
1.Choose faith over fear-Take a chance this year and do want you want to do or say what you want to say. Gift yourself the freedom of being a little more YOU in relation to things that make you feel small, obedient, constricted, or overwhelmed.
 
2.Honor your Journey- We all know the one thing we can count on is change. Happiness is fleeting because we usually attach it to some end goal. We think, once I achieve (fill in the blank) I'll finally be happy. If you look, you'll see that even when you hit the desired mark, your enthusiasm eventually fades and before long you're off and running to the next thing on your list. Choose to enjoy more of the journey in-between goals. Remember that your life is a collection of millions of moments. Appreciate each one.
 
3.Embrace your Own Rythmns- We like to identify ourselves by saying "I am this way or I am that way" but in truth, we are constantly changing moment to moment depending on the energy we are exposed to. We may not always acknowledge this fact but sometimes we are energized and sometimes we aren't. Sometimes we are brave and sometimes we are scared. Sometimes we have and other times we have not. Embrace a more expansive version of who you are. Act accordingly with your own natural rythmn rather than trying to operate as a set identity.
